Hello Dr. Ginger.
My new year resolution of replacing music on my mp3 player with informational audio programs brought me to your website. So far I've been enlightened and entertained. My next course of action is to sign up for the BSP newsletter. Keep up the good work !

I stumbled on BSP and added it to my daily bike ride listening. I just heard episode 79 and all I can say is WOW. I am absolutely beside myself! What an incredible source. Intelligent but appropriate for someone without an education in the subject. I am a convert.

I've been listening to BSP since May 2011. I've really enjoyed picking through the podcast archive. Ginger's podcast content and relaxed, informative style make the BSP one of the best podcasts I've come across, and is certainly one of my personal favourites.

I feel somewhat of a kindred with Ginger, being a primary care physician in regional coastal Australia. I would dearly love to do more study in neuroscience, but geography, family committments, time paucity and cost make this impossible at the moment. BSP allows me to educate myself in the brain sciences without being a drag or costing me a penny!

Thanks Ginger.

The Brain Science Podcast is one of my favourites: always interesting in its own right and often surprisingly practical in my daily life. In fact it has helped me in my relationships and in understanding myself. Invaluable.

I have been listening to the Brain Science Podcast for the last 3 years. While I had a great interest, and a background in counseling/social work, I was very new to study of neuroscience. Ginger and her guests have mentored me in my understanding, giving me an overview of the field, the research, and it's applications for daily living.

I never miss an installment of this podcast. The quality of recording, the conversation, the transcripts and the supporting information are invaluable. I listen to a number of podcasts. This one is the best. Ginger is doing us a great service in making sense of this important topic.

Dr. Campbell has truly harnessed the power of the podcast and has created one of the most compelling shows on the brain and how it functions. Straddling the line between technical and non-technical, The Brain Science Podcast is a definite must-listen for all who are interested in learning more about Neuroscience. Thanks Ginger.

I cannot recommend the Brain Science Podcast highly enough. It is the most stimulating and inspiring podcast I have been able to find on the web. Dr Campbell treats the most complex object in the known universe, the human brain,in a way that is never simplistic, yet always accessible. Her interviews and follow-up analyses are lucid and thorough and it is often clear that guests are delighted and surprised by the high level of questioning they encounter. I especially endorse this podcast to scholars of the Humanities who wish to follow the latest debates in neuroscience and philosophy of mind. In particular, there are many ideas explored here that suggest ways to go beyond the artificially isolated, computational model of the mind that has tended to dominate our attempts to respond to the appeal of cognitive science.

I have been listening for a couple years now, and enjoy every episode. I have a great passion and interest in science generally, and with one adult daughter with a past brain injury and another that is bipolar, i have been very grateful for the information that has been shared on your show.
I still have not been through all of your podcasts yet, but am working on it.
I am especially encouraged to hear more about the study of placebo, as many years ago I became very frustrated by the way we use placebo to debunk treatments, but not use them to help treat.
thanks froma grateful subscriber.

Ginger, congratulations on the callout for the Brain Science Podcast in the Calendar section (page 23) of the July/August 2011 issue of Scientific American Mind. Nice to see the acknowledgement from one of my favorite magazines!

I'm from Brazil and I started to listen to this podcast back in 2008. This has been a great experience both in understand a little how our brain works - which is a subject that fascinates me - and improving my english learning skills, so I tremendously appreciate the work that you are doing with such passion, quality and competence!

Just wanted to thank you for your great podcast!
...the number of podcasts I really enjoy has reached the critical mass leaving nearly no time to do any actual work :-)
Greetings from Southern Germany,

Hello Dr Campbell,

Have just finished listening to my first BSP, #53 "Did My Neurons Make Me Do It?". Thoroughly enjoyed your analysis of Nancy Murphy's book and non-reductive physicalism. I live in Queensland, Australia.

I look forward to browsing previous episodes and listening to future episodes. Keep up the good work!

Hi Dr. Campbell!
I want to say that I love your podcasts. Some of your episodes have particular interest in that I suffered a brain injury at about age 6 (I'm now 60) that left me with a bad left eye and depression. I've led a successful life, so I'm just interested in what the after-effects could be. Also, my mother-in-law, who is 85, was prescribed nemenda for symptoms of AD. The side effects were awful. The medication was most likely unnecessary, and it caused dementia! She was living at home, but had to be sent to rehab. The story is more involved, but that' the gist of it.
Your work is invaluable. I bought the podcast app and will try to support you in other ways.

Ginger,

Your podcasts are absolutely wonderful and I'm so grateful for them. I just discovered BSP recently after randomly following a link from a blog post. Since then, it's like a whole new world of information has opened up for me. It's been wonderful! I am preciously the audience you're trying to reach, too. I'm not a scientist, PhD student, researcher, etc. I'm just a simple teacher ... who happens to be fascinated by the human mind. I have learned SO MUCH already after having listened to just a handful of your older podcasts & I really look forward to the rest. I'm always excited to listen to each one because afterwards, invariably, I have loads of new insights into my students, myself, & human beings in general. Your passion for the subject matter is infectious and very inspiring & you communicate the content so well in an easy-to-understand manner. You're a natural teacher, actually :-) I've already voted BSP for a podcast award today and plan to do so several times again in the next few days and I hope others will follow suit. You deserve to win. You are a doing a great service to educate others, and as a fellow educator, you make me very proud. Keep up the fantastic work!

Hi Ginger,

Thank you for the great podcasts on Brain Science! I love the way you present the subject to non-medical people. I enjoy listening to your podcasts. I learnt lot of things about the human brain.
Thank you very much.
